Candle Group

The candle group is made up of 9 women who have decided to come together to learn some skills.  They live in Tierra Nueva 1, a very poor part of Guatemala City where most of the people started out as squatters.  Right now when they make the candles they pay for the women’s time and then use the profits to bring in some things for the community like speakers on women’s rights and cooking classes.  They liked candle making the best so that is what they are concentrating on.  

We have provided input on color and design for international markets.
