Casa Guatemala Clinic

These photos were taken at the clinic which is part of the orphanage Casa Guatemala.  The clinic is in the poorest part of the city and gives aid to children whose parents do not have money.  All of the children photographed have parents but were sick and needed care.  Casa Guatemala cares for these children until they are well enough to go home.

Arcely is one of the older girls who has been educated at Casa Guatemala. She has 4 brothers in her family.  They all have been part of Casa Guatemala for many years.  Arcely lives in Guatemala City and goes to school in the mornings.  She works at the clinic in the afternoon.


Lupie is one of the Casa Guatemala children who now lives in the city and goes to school in the morning and works at the clinic in the afternoon.  She is looking through a window at the clinic.
